So if you want to know whether Harry dies or not in the 7th book, just go here. The idiots at the Baltimore Sun got a copy, read it, and put a spoiling review on their homepage. Way to go guys! Whatever happened to journalistic integrity?

This is by far the most genious piece of marketing I've ever seen. A 7-11 in Seattle has been turned into a Kwik-E-Mart complete with Squishees and employee uniforms. I am going to head over there tomorrow and check it out.

I want to buy some Krusty O's, Buzz cola, Radioactive man comics, and a pink frosted doughnut with sprinkles. Too bad they aren't selling Duff beer. :)
Find your own Kwik-E-Mart.

So I decided to join Second Life today. Seems like "The Sims" only free and with real other people. So we'll see how interesting it is or if it's a total waste of time!
Yesterday, I got to see the Disney Princess Wedding Dress Collection for the first time. I totally think my dress would've fit into the "Ariel" category, and she is of course my favoite princess! It's kind of sad that they don't have dresses that look like the ones in the movie, because Ariel's was all slinky with sparkles. My only question is why didn't Disney's marketing team think of this sooner? I could've told them these would sell. Every girl wants to be a princess, especially on her wedding day.
Speaking of weddings, I really need to get cracking on a destination wedding article for CaribbeanEdge.com...

I must say, I love travel writing! I want to do some more. There is lots of stuff around Seattle to do and write about, I just need to find the markets. John and I want to go whitewater rafting and ride a horse up a trail in the mountains. Sometime Lindsey is going to come up and we'll go to Canada too!
I'd really like to write on Disney travel too, so many ideas... :)

I keep finding more and more fun web junk. Now I've discovered Dogster, a sort-of MySpace for dogs and signed up my Pepper for it. In her first day she got four pup friends! Soon she'll have more friends on her page than I do!

At MyHeritage you can put in your picture and see what celebrities your face is similar to. They seem to think I look like the cheerleader from Heroes. John's came out and I said, "No wonder I like Wentworth Miller!"
Try it out, and with different pictures. You can get drastically different results with different pictures!

| Best Celebrity Turnaround |
[30 Aug 2006|06:52pm] |
Mark Walhberg wins my vote for Best Celebrity Turnaround. Only he could go from Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch to becoming a borderline A/B list actor. Of course having a hot body goes along way too... Saw his movie "Invincible" this past weekend and I thought it was great. Is it weird that hate sports, but I like sports movies? Of course when John says, "He must have been a special teams player because his record only shows one received catch." I'm like *eye roll*.
I can't believe it's been a week since the Justin Timberlake concert! I snuck into the Best Buy listening party and Justin came out at 4 and played 3 songs from his album. (My Love, What Goes Around, and some other song?) In between songs, Johnny Wright was in the audience asking questions. People asked what his favorite album to listen to was (obviously he said his own), what his fav dinner would be (steak, potatoes w/ gravy, veggies), if he was still dating Cameron ("That's none of your damn business!" *with sarcasm*). One girl asked for a hug and another asked for her mom to come and find her cause she ditched her daughter to go to the front of the room. Then Justin called two phone numbers that were submitted and gave them free phones from Samsung and brought them on stage.
As for the concert I actually thought the show was going to be more risque than it was, being a 21+ show. Justin flipped the double bird during Cry Me a River to open and said he was introducing his new stuff tonight and if you didn't like it than "@#%$ you". He also took off one piece of clothing like every 15 minutes, so that was nice.
As for fan interaction, there wasn't much. The usual "What's up [insert city name here]?" "How you feeling tonight?" "I love [insert city name here] I think I should stay and play the rest of my shows here!" "You guys want more?" yadda yadda yadda It was really hot and people were pushy but I think everyone had a good time.
Here's my pics from the back of best buy and 2 blurry pictures from my camera phone of the concert. I hate places that don't allow cameras, especially when I'm in the front row!
Oh and towards the end Justin said "I'll see you guys out on the town tonight." but I have no idea what the hot clubs are in Chicago and didn't want to wander around town by myself so I drove home to my hubby, who was waiting up for me.

| Snakes on Crack! |
[21 Aug 2006|09:53pm] |
My mom sent me an e-mail yesterday that directs you to go to Google and type in the words "miserable failure" and see what comes up. I thought it was pretty funny, especially since my mom just got a new job from the government. But I also found it pretty funny since there's not a trace of the word failure on the page. This article explains how it was done.
I saw Snakes on a Plane yesterday and thought it was awesomely bad. Crazy snakes on crack biting people in all the bad places! (I was kind of appalled that some guy brought his 10-year-old daughter into the theater.) But Samuel L. Jackson never called my cell phone like he was supposed to. That was pretty dissapointing. I want my MF phone call, man! Get the movie poster.
And in 24 hours I will be in front of my #1 MySpace friend... Mr. Justin Timberlake! Yessssss!

| I met Kevin Costner at the Field of Dreams! |

So we ended up going to the Field of Dreams on Friday to the Netflix Roadshow where Kevin Costner's band played... and I'm so glad we did because we got to meet the man himself! (My first A-list celeb, tee-hee!) I have to say he is one of the coolest, laid-back celebrities because he just came out of his bus and walked over to the fans and started signing stuff. I got my brother's "Field of Dreams" DVD autographed and my "Prince of Theives" DVD signed. You can view my pictures here on Yahoo! Pictures. I also read that he played ball with some kids earlier in the day, which is so cute!
However, I have to say that Kevin Costner should stick to acting. I don't know if he plans to go anywhere with his band or if it's just for fun, but he's pretty bad. He was out of tune most of the time and his voice was cracking a lot. He also called his band a rock band, which it's not, more like country hill-billy stuff singing about the Fourth of July and his neighbor eating a dog?
Anyway we had fun and even though today seemed like the longest workday ever (making up the hours) I'm happy we made the 2 hour trip. Now get some hot Kevin Costner movie posters!

| If you have Kevin, they will come.. |
[08 Aug 2006|09:20pm] |
So John and I are considering heading over to Dyersville, Iowa on Friday for the Netflix Rolling Roadshow where they are going to be playing "Field of Dreams" on the actual baseball diamond in the corn field set. The main reason we're considering making the 2 hour and 15 minute trip is that Kevin Costner is going to be there playing in his "band". On one hand it's a hassle because I'd have to take off work early and drive that whole way just to have a crappy view. On the other hand.. when am I going to see something like this again? LOL
I also considered a moment going to the Ferris Bueller event on Thursday in Illinois, but it didn't seem nearly as cool. For one thing, the "celebrity judges" aren't named, so they probably aren't worth mentioning.

So my friends and I took a bartending class for the last two weeks at the Wisconsin Union Mini Courses. The class kind of sucked (we only learned highballs!) and the teacher was weird, but at least I got to hang out with my friends.
The reason I took the course is because "Learn How to Bartend" is on my "List of Things to Do Before I'm 30". *checks it off* Of course, I'm the kind of nutzo who has lists for everything. Some other things I've already checked off: - Get married to a man I love. *check* - Drink 'Sex on the Beach' on an island beach. *check*
Some other things on the list still have a long way to go: - Write a book (I have the first and last page done, but I'm missing all the stuff in the middle!) - Visit Ireland, Japan and France (not all on the same trip) - Be an extra in a movie (Too bad the Chicago casting agency that had me on file went out of business!)
Some things that are not on my list: - Have kids - Go back to school and get a graduate degree in something Those would be on the "Things to Do Before I'm 40" list. But I am more than willing to wait for these things and I don't have enough time for them to be on the 30 list anyway!

Justin Timberlake released his new single, SexyBack, on his MySpace account today. Justin has taken "dirty pop" to a whole new level. Talking about chains and whips and who knows what. I think some mommies aren't going to be happy with their little girls listening to JT anymore. Especially since he drops the MF bomb in the song. It also sounds a little weird when he goes "You ready?" in that girly voice. Seems like it would be a hot club track though, I want to get on a dance floor and "get my sexy on"! (Sexy Justin Timberlake Photos )
Pirates 2 has gotten some mixed reviews before its release tonight at midnight. I have tickets for the Ultrascreen tomorrow at 7:10! (Check out some Pirates posters.)

So I found this series of journals of this guy in Yahoo! who's trying to lose weight by playing DDR (Dance Dance Revolution for those of you poor souls who don't know the game). He's called his mission "Project Gutbuster". It's so funny because John and I and two of my coworkers that I know of use DDR to work out. Er... well, used to. We haven't done it in like a month. But you can work up a sweat doing it and there's lots of stories of people online using it to lose weight. I even read that some schools out east are including it in their gym program.
I read today that Pirates is teaming up with McDonalds again, so I guess I have to eat some Happy Meals next week! Also, I spent 5 hours tonight trying to solve puzzles for the Pirates of the Caribbean Volvo contest. Now in order to play this contest you have to go to your local Volvo dealer and ask for a map with a code on it. So I went in after work feeling like an idiot at the car store: "Can I have a treasure map?" LOL But these puzzles are WAY HARD! Much more difficult than the Da Vinci Code puzzle on Google I posted about earlier. There's a much easier Pirates Kodak contest where you just have to submit pictures. (Check out some Pirates posters.)
So the Pirates movie comes out next Friday, and I just found out that Justin Timberlake's new single "SexyBack" hits the radio the same day! News reports say his album is going to be called "FutureSex/LoveSounds". Ok Justin... weird. Anyway, it comes out in September. Hey Justin, how bout on my birthday? It's September 4th! *wink* (Sexy Justin Timberlake Photos )
And on a different note, J.K. Rowling announced today that two people will die in the final Harry Potter book to be released in 2007. I'm guessing that one of the two killed is Lord Voldemort. I will just pray that the other is not Hermoine. (Please kill Ron instead!) She also says "One character got a reprieve," which I am assuming is Professor Snape. The 5th movie also has a release date of July 13, 2007. (Browse Harry Potter posters )

I'm really sad that Hell's Kitchen is on at the same time as Treasure Hunters. I have to tape one and watch the other. But I make sure to enter both contests online! *wink*
Last night I watched the red carpet for the Pirates of the Caribbean premiere in Disneyland on E! and I so wanted to be there! They said some people showed up at 6:30 am to get a spot... I would've probably showed before them. The trailer is on TV like every day now, we are totally going to the first show that Friday night at the Ultrascreen. I also read an interview with Keira Knightley in InStyle that says she kisses Johnny Depp in this movie! I was ready for that to happen in the first movie. :)
They also showed how they added Jack Sparrow into the ride in Disneyland. I think it's kind of sad they changed it, since I loved that ride, but I guess it needed an update anyway.
